The future of civil aviation - the approach of the silent aircraft

Why do we need a silent aircraft? How do we perceive sound? Why are aircraft noisy and how we can modify the design to produce a dramatic reduction in noise? The presentation will use practical demonstrations that are accessible to everyone in order to explore the proposed silent aircraft, the problems in trying to reduce noise and the benefits that this aircraft has over conventional aircraft.
