Low Bandwidth

Our committment to low bandwidth.

ScienceLive is about live science video for everybody. Whereever you are in the world, and whatever facilities you've got to access the internet, we want you to be able to access our video.

Many people are on modem connections, and we aim to make all our video available for modem. But in many places, even modem bandwidth is no good: Hence where it's possible we provide audio only or audio and slides. Clearly for some of the content that won't be the best experience, but at least it unlocks some part of the content.

If you'd like to browse a low-bandwidth version of our site: Our site can be browsed through loband:  ScienceLive on loband

If you are interested in news, views and information about science, technology and the developing world, then you might like to visit the Science and Development Network at www.scidev.net.
